Waterfall Junction at Riverbanks Botanical Garden opened in the spring of 2016 and is the perfect event space for a family night out or corporate reception for groups of 300+ guests. This 3-acre wonderland features giant tree houses, kid-sized playhouses, a grassy meadow, a 25-foot cascading waterfall and two splash pads. This fun venue pairs perfectly with our picnic buffet or heavy hors d’oeuvres menus.
Corporate Family Night
Waterfall Junction is the perfect location for your next Corporate Family Night. Your group will have the whole space to yourself. There are plenty of activities to keep the children and families entertained for hours. Guests of all ages can explore everything Waterfall Junction has to offer. Children can frolic between areas as they pop in and out of a rabbit hole, unearth a life-size replica of a T-Rex, and splash around our two splash pads and waterfall.
We’ll set up a dinner buffet and ensure that no one leave hungry! We have several menus to fit your group. From our Classic Picnic Menu with Angus beef burgers and all beef hotdogs served with traditional sides to our Low Country Picnic Menu with sweet-tea brined grilled chicken and BBQ pulled pork served with mini corn cobs, vinegar coleslaw and macaroni salad.
And there is plenty of parking!
Everyone is a kid at heart! Why not lighten the mood for your next corporate reception and host it in Waterfall Junction? Start the evening in the trees houses as guests will be greeted with hors d’oeuvres, a bar and beverage station as they explore the views of Riverbanks newest addition to the Botanical Gardens, Waterfall Junction. The canopy covered tree houses will be set up for a party with cocktail tables and lighting for cocktail hour.
Your guests will then make their way into Waterfall Junction for Heavy Hors d’oeuvres and bar selections. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the elements of Waterfall Junction – the Dino Dig, Vegetable Garden, Waterfall – while enjoy exquisite menu items from our Chef. The food stations will be centralized around the Education Center with cocktail tables set up along the deck and seating by the waterfall.
Should there be inclement weather on the day of the event, your guests will hop on our tram and head straight to the Magnolia Center. The lobby area will be set up to welcome each guest with a cocktail and the butler passed hors d’oeuvres. Inside the Magnolia Room will be set up for a cocktail party with food stations, bar and cocktail tables throughout. The French doors of the Magnolia Room and Center offer views of the bricked terrace overlooking the fountains and seasonal flowers in the Botanical Garden.
Waterfall Junction is available for private events one hour after the Zoo closes and includes tables, chairs, standard linens, background music, set up, clean up and an event manager. A Waterfall Junction venue rental can be expanded to include the Botanical Gardens for an even larger event space.
