Bringing a large group of people together has never been easier. At Riverbanks Zoo & Garden, our picnic package is designed to save you both time and money. Each package contains the core essentials needed to host a picnic with a built-in discount!
After carefully looking at our customer’s booking patterns, we’ve designed standard event packages for you to utilize. Whether it be your family reunion or a mid-year corporate gathering, you bring at least 100 guests and we will provide everything else you will need. Our picnic package includes your facility rental of our Safari Camp, which is an outdoor, sheltered area in the Zoo. You will have the Safari Camp for 2 hours from your choice of 11am-1pm or 2pm-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, the package includes all of your guests’ admission tickets, your menu choice, picnic tables, one of our awesome event managers and catering staff, set-up and clean-up, service charge, and tax! It really is that simple, one package holding all of the necessities. You will barely have to lift a finger to plan your picnic with us.
What they all come for… THE FOOD!
When it comes to the food, we have three different tiers of food options at three different price points for you to choose from.
- We have “The Classic” menu, which has your typical burgers, hot dogs, BBQ baked beans and potato salad.
- The second option we have is “The Southern” menu, which has burgers, hot dogs, BBQ pulled chicken, homemade creamy coleslaw, potato salad and green beans.
- Our last menu option is “The Lowcountry” which has Sweet tea-brindled grilled chicken (YUM!), BBQ pulled pork, hot dogs, mini corn on the cobs with butter, vinegar coleslaw, and macaroni salad.
All three menu options also come with toppings, condiments, buns, cookies, iced teas and lemonade. For those of you that are wondering about vegetarian options, don’t worry! We always have vegetarian options available. We also have various menu additions or novelty food stations, such as our popcorn and cotton candy station, to add on to these menu options as well. Who doesn’t love popcorn and cotton candy when you’re at the zoo?
There are plenty of fun and family-friendly ways to incorporate everyone together in the excitement of being at the Zoo. You can book animal encounters that are just for your group, face painting, a magic show, and much more. Simply ask one of our sales managers to tell you more about the options that we have.
