With so many festivities to be had and moments to commemorate, what better place to celebrate them than at Riverbanks Zoo & Garden! There are unlimited types of social events to be had, but a few that we see most are family reunions, proms, adult birthday parties, and college events.
Family Reunions
Gather the whole family and take your reunion to the zoo! With so many family friendly options, everyone is sure to have a blast! We offer picnic packages at the Safari Camp, which saves time and money, for those that are expecting over 100 guests. Or if you would rather have something more enclosed and private, the reunion can be held at our Ndoki Lodge which overlooks the Meerkats and Elephants exhibit. Nowhere else in Columbia can you have that kind of view! You can also hold it across the bridge at the Botanical Garden in our Magnolia Room. The kids will adore you for choosing this space since it is the closest one to Waterfall Junction!
Prom
Looking for a new and unique location for prom that is sure to be memorable? From plated dinners to an evening reception, this formal occasion can be tailor-made to suit most budgets. Both the Ndoki Lodge and Magnolia Room have hard wood or stone floors, perfect for a large dance floor at no extra cost. And don’t worry about a photo backdrop! The Botanical Gardens or Zoo exhibits make for beautiful one of a kind photos.
Adult Birthday Parties
Your kids enjoy having their birthday party at the zoo, so why can’t you? You can! We tailor these important milestones in your life for guests of 25 or more. Get up close and personal with our animals by having an animal encounter come to you at your party. Or get the whole group to do an after-hours Giraffe feeding. What better way to liven up the party, than with local crafted brews, your favorite varietals of wine or a specialty cocktail of your choice. The options available are endless.
College Events
Whether it is Bid Day, Parents Reception, or any other occasion, your fraternity or sorority will be envied for having their function here. With the spacious Ndoki Lodge, there is plenty of room for icebreakers, dancing, and other activities. Tell us the theme for your event and we can make your ideas come to life with some of our custom menus options.
