Well we have the perfect place for you. Getting your bridal portraits or engagement photos done at the Riverbanks Botanical Garden is beautiful, and to make it better, it is so easy! You bring your photographer and your dress or your groom and you all venture through the garden to get the best shots.
The Botanical Garden features 4,200 species of native and exotic plants over 70 acres, giving you unlimited options for photographs since you have such a large space to work with. The Walled Garden, Riverbanks’ premier botanical exhibit, features several fountains which add an elegant detail to your photos. And don’t worry; the garden always looks lush and bountiful because the plants are constantly being swapped out with what is in bloom in each season.
Bridal Portrait or Engagement Photo Session
You may be wondering, for something so easy, what is in the fine, small writing at the bottom? To answer your question, it is $150 for two hours in the Botanical Garden. Portraits can only be taken after hours, ensuring you won’t have any strangers photobombing your pictures.

Carolina Bridal Show
Now we know that Engagement Photos and Bridal Portraits are only one of the hundreds of things to cross off of your to-do list for your upcoming wedding, but we are here to help with that and more! On Sunday, July 16th, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, a few of our team members and some of Columbia’s best will be at the Carolina Bridal Showcase, located in the Columbia Convention Center, for an afternoon full of information and inspiring ideas.
Our Wedding Sales Coordinator will be there to answer questions regarding our on-site exclusive caterer, our facilities, logistics, décor, and anything else regarding weddings at Riverbanks Zoo & Garden.
